Welcome to my little corner of the Internet! Starting my own blog has been something that’s always been in the back of my mind, and I figured - now or never! For this first post, I’ve decided to introduce myself and give you a little background on what to expect from this space.
So hello, nice to met you! My name is Sara and I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Central Florida in sunny Orlando, FL. It’s always been a dream of mine to live in the theme park capital of the world and the past few years have honestly been a whirlwind of magic and amazing memories. To get started, here are ten random facts about me!
I’m studying Event Management as well as Hospitality Management at UCF. Go Knights!
I currently work as the Executive Director for UCF’s Homecoming, the best week of the year! We go hard for Homecoming and I am so lucky to get to lead this year’s team of event planners and student leaders to create a week of amazing events.
My dream career path includes working in the theme park industry as an internal event coordinator.
My favorite theme park is Hollywood Studios pre-construction (forever miss you MGM) but you can typically find me at the Magic Kingdom!
I’m a huge roller coaster nut and will ride anything at least once.
I adore cats and think that cat cafes are the coolest invention ever. My parents have a fur baby at home named Sweetie and she holds my whole heart.
I don’t watch TV shows that often but am a huge fan of The Office, Friends, and Once Upon A Time!
I previously worked for the nonprofit Junior Achievement and am very passionate about helping children succeed.
If I wasn’t an event planner, I would love to pursue live theatre professionally. Musical theatre was a huge part of my childhood!
I’m six feet tall! It doesn’t really come across in my photos so ‘Wow, you’re tall!’ is typically the first thing I hear when meeting anyone new!
In 2017, I decided to make an Instagram dedicated to my adventures around Disney and it has since grown to an incredible community of positive and supportive individuals who all share the same love of a little cartoon mouse. I never imagined to meet so many spectacular people from a social media platform but in two short years I have grown to call so many creators my best friends.
With Instagram only continuing to grow, I decided I’d love to embark on a new adventure as well - this blog. I hope to share not only my love for the Walt Disney Company but also the many theme park and entertainment offerings around Orlando. You’ll also find some college articles detailing things I’ve learned from UCF and beyond. Finally, I’ll be covering some of my favorite things in general - stores, people, places, food, activities, you name it! I plan to use this space as a journal for things that bring me joy. Whether you’re here for the magic, the style, Orlando tips, or the everyday, I hope you stick around!
